Serendipity is such a nice word! I read about Dietbet at Greatist and was ready to commit to a six month challenge when Greatist dropped another email in my inbox about hosting a Dietbet themselves. Being a huge Greatist fan, I put the 6 month challenge on the back burner and waited for their challenge to start.

For some reason, I am so excited about this. I like games, I like personal challenges and I'm liking the public accountability.

My goal is to lose the 4% but better than that, to hold myself accountable for things that I know -- I know how to eat well, I know that treats are good occasionals, I know that eating a whole bag of chips out of boredom or the feeling of impotence is not good, I know how to cook and I know that I have tenacity and strength. I also know that I LOVE to move so instead of putting that on the back burner for when other things are done, I need to make that a priority. Oh, and I've discovered that meditation, in any form that speaks to you, actually does help on all goal levels.
