So it's half time (of my first dietbet). Two weeks down, two more to go. :)

Yesterday was really good. I was invited to a birthday party (girlfriend of one of my best friends). So I "prepared" myself by not having breakfast and just some scrambled eggs with cottage cheese for lunch, while snacking some fruit throughout the day. I assumed that I might need a serious "calorie-buffer" for the evening. :D
I also made some Oreo Cupcakes to bring along, because I know she loves them. Now guess what: My buddy prepared two huge plates with all kind of "veggie-sticks" (carrots, cucumber, sweet peppers,...) and some self-made yoghurt dip and fresh baguette. So I sticked to that for most of the evening. Just had a handful of potato chips and even less gummi bears. I did not eat a single cupcake and none of the selfmade chocolate-pineapple pie (which must have been delicious, because people guzzled it like crazy^^). I am not even super proud of myself, but soo thankful, that my friend gave me a healthy opportunity, which btw. was also really well received by everbody else. Having a good support system is so crucial to me. I also sticked with water the whole evening, while those Coca-Cola bottles kept staring at me whispering "Drink me, I'm so delicious!" :D
It was a really fun night and I came home at arround 3 a.m. with such a good conscience.

So, yesterday was fun, but I didn't manage to get in a run, because I simply did not have the time.
And wednesday is table tennis practice, and when I go for a run now, I won't be able to perform very well, and...BLAH BLAH BLAH.
"Just cut the crap. The last run was 3 days ago, so stop making excuses and run fat-boy!" :D

I'm not going to lie, it was terrible. I wanted to quit after 500 meters already, felt super slow the whole time, wore way too much clothes (it was 10°C warmer today than those last 2 weeks), didn't breathe very well, felt stiches in the side and didn't "get my second wind", which usually happens after 15-20 minutes. But every time I wanted to quit I just replayed this

in my head over and over again (Seriously, Morgan Freeman could read me the phone book and I would be enthusiastic). ^^ So I still managed to get in at least 6K at 10.1km/h. I felt exhausted, but I was happy that I did it. Than I had 1h to take a shower, change, pack my stuff and drive to my club for practice. So I just did it. I felt fit as a fiddle the whole time. I don't know why, it made no sense to me, but it was so awesome.

I still haven't found my pedometer. I hope it will turn up again.
