I have been able to effectively avoid all grains and MOST sugar for the past week, in spite of eating out on several occasions and watching other people indulge in whatever they liked.
What do you feel you could have done better this week?
I could have exercised more. I only exercised 3 times in the past week, each time on the elliptical trainer. My first day, I did 15 minutes, my second day I did 20 minutes, and then yesterday I did it for 30 minutes!

What are your goals for the upcoming week?
This coming week, I plan to eliminate what little sugar I've been eating. No more almond butter with maple sugar or honey, no more occasional whipped cream on my berries, no Metamucil wafers for fiber...I'm switching to Benefiber! Also, I plan to do the elliptical trainer on at least 5 days for 30 minutes at a time (since I can apparently do that and survive).
Also, I've started an Instagram account, @doctorondiet, and I'm inviting everyone out there (and everyone I know personally) to follow me along as I lose 100 pounds over the next year. This is my way of keeping myself accountable. I will take frontal and profile photos of myself every week so people can see the transformation. There's nothing like having the whole world watching to keep you on your diet! I can not fail!
