I didn’t reach my goal this round, but this game really got me moving which I needed. Thank you DietBet.

Finally unpacked from my move. Now that I have my workout routine in place I can add healthier eating habits. Having a kitchen set up will help with that.

I made a post 24 days ago where Iisted all the things I'd like to do this year. I'm thrilled to say, I've done several of them already!
=Weight loss, move house, leave abusive relationship, stop sugar binging, go back to university=
I've hit my dietbet goal, I've broken up with my abusive partner, I've messaged three landlords to see if I can find housing for myself, and I've applied to do a pre-university course to see if I could manage a degree.
Absolutely thrilled, and exhausted. The sugar binge thing will take a bit longer hahaha

I’ve been eating smaller meals. Last night I had a small dinner but really early in the night. By the time I went to bed my stomach was already growling. A banana helped tie me down.

I was told one lady lost 1 pound over her goal and didn’t win anything. Is it not that you are only allowed to lose 8% over your goal?

Players are only disqualified from a Kickstarter if they lose 12% or more. The game goal is to lose 4%. As an example, at 200, the goal is to lose 8 pounds. A player would need to lose 24 pounds or more (16 over goal) before being disqualified. I hope this helps!

I'm not where I want to be, but what helps me is small changes like changing a junk food recipe to a healthy one. Drinking carbonated club soda or water with ice instead of coke. Simple popcorn with lemon instead of chips and Doritos. Just small seamless changes to add up to a big change. To easily incorporate into my lifestyle.

Love reading about your efforts! I think the best thing about exercise is we can always tweak our plans to meet us where we are. Some days I like tough, but others a walk is the limit. Both are good!

Been knocked about with a cold bug for a few days, but I've set up my treadmill today for some gentle exercise. Hoping to get back to my weights by the weekend! Any suggestions for other gentle exercise to keep me going while I'm recovering?

Honestly, I love a good stretch session. Just stretching and moving my body around intuitively on a yoga mat can do wonders for me - especially if recovering from a cold. Good for you! :hearts:

I like outdoor walks when I’m recovering from an illness, I think it’s the fresh air that I love the most

I was feeling really in "couch, blanket and netflix" mood, but I managed to force myself to go out for some cardio workout - dancing salsa. I lost for sure calories but it was also fun!

Women: do you girls get the biggest hunger pains before your period. I find myself wanting binge and it’s hard to resist. Fortunately it leaves me once the time of the month starts… but it’s very unsettling during this time

Yep. Same boat. I’m a day or two out and indulged a bit too much last night. I’m trying to be compassionate and not shame myself. When I shame it spirals even worse. Being kind to myself while also refocusing/reconnecting to my goals and my ‘why’ seems to help. I’m grateful it’s happening now and not later in the game. :sweat_smile:
