What’s everyone’s philosophy on cheat meals/cheat days?

I usually don't do a cheat day. I used to but it seemed to throw me off balance.

Megan M.

So I don't really do cheat days. I keep a 1200 to 1700 range, all of which puts me in a calorie deficit. Most days I keep at the 1200 mark, but if there is a day when I need an extra treat I keep in my 1700 range, but I also don't worry if I'm a little over because in the course. This has really helped my mindset so I don't get off track with a cheat day, I used to turn one into multiple and have a hard time getting back on track.

Really needing to kick it in gear here. Still traveling for another week. Does anyone have suggestions or ideas on eating out?? I swear all the lettuce I’ve been getting is not crisp and wonderful at all. Maybe I’m burnt out on salads?

Do you have the option of bringing food back to where you are staying? If yes, I’d hit up the grocery store and get pre packed veg, fruit, maybe some peanut butter and crackers…deli meat and cheese…I’d go to the supermarket

Helena

I’d do the grocery store route, too. I’d rather more basic ingredients than the unknowns and heaviness of restaurant food! Nice work on the salad choices - I can see how you’d get a bit tired of it, though!

I’m trying to find a low calorie, low fat, low carb salad dressing that tastes good! I know I’m asking for a lot. I was thinking of trying the Skinny Girl dressings. Anyone try them? What did you think? Suggestions?

If you’re up for vinaigrette - I went a year with just rice vinegar pinch of sugar, and olive oil - really fresh and nice : )

Nina S.

Also, my Persian peeps do lemon and olive oil + salt

Any 2024 brides here? So ready to get to a place where I’m looking and feeling my best for my big day on November 10! Lost 9lbs in January’s DietBet, gonna keep showing up for myself until I reach my goals! 👏
