Jen, I totally get what you are saying. Once you acknowledge that the eating thing is about so much more than food, then you can actually start working on the real shit. It's hard because you still have to deal with the food and that's unpleasant and annoying and...scary (because you are facing all that garbage without the food to numb you). You are so insightful and strong. You got this. You are already doing this.

This blog could have easily been written about me. I struggle with food addiction as well. Some people turn to alcohol, some to heroin or other narcotic...for me...my drug of choice is sugar and in many ways it is just as debilitating as those other addictions. Thank you for writing this and for going on this journey with me. :)
