Yay, I made it! I gained weight a few days ago due to my period, and I wasn't sure if I would make it or not. Thankfully, it was just water weight, and I actually weigh less today now that my period is over than I did before it started. Does anyone else gain a ridiculous amount of water weight right before their period?

  • 2 days ago, the high temps were in the 70’s. This morning my truck said it was 17 degrees. Could Mother Nature please pick a season?!?! The cold temps make it tough to want to get out of bed and head to the gym, but I did. Did an elliptical session today. I was a bit stuffed up when I got up this morning. Feeling much better after my workout. Now to take on the day!

Protein…. I feel like it’s so hard to hit my goal. Any quick, easy protein dense snacks you recommend?

Hi Jen! I don't eat much meat so I tend to get my protein through tofu, rice & beans, nuts & seeds, peanut butter on celery, quinoa and oatmeal. Other good sources would be jerky, eggs (hard boiled are great to have on hand - or egg bites), yogurt, cheese, cottage cheese. Protein powder in a smoothie is also a great option. :) Hope this helps a little bit.

  • My breakfast (also add a banana) packed with protein! 💪It’s amazing how long you stay full when you start the day with 40-50g of protein!

Does anyone have any good to frozen food entrees or go-to premade meal items? I’m a full time teacher, mom, and also doing grad school. My busy schedule often leads to bad food choices! I do not enjoy cooking and have no time to do so looking for some easy veggie and protein items to add to my grocery list.

I love burger bowls you can grab some frozen burger patty’s or even turkey burgers and make a salad. Bare chicken also has good options for frozen chicken strips can always pair those with some frozen veggies or green giant makes those veggie sides where they have a sauce sometimes a grain. Cauliflower pizza is a great option. Turkey sausage for the mornings with eggs. Protein smoothies are always great for quick and easy. Also just adding in Greek yogurt or cottage cheese to your meals adds a lot of protein so I’ve started to add those in when I can!
