Sugar can absolutely be an addiction. The longer you are away from sugar the more your taste buds change, and healthier alternatives become sweeter tasting and more satisfying. Keep up the good work!

Emily, I am exactly the same. A little bit doesn't do it for me. When I want chocolate (or ice cream) I need to eat like 2 or 3 bars to satisfy (2/3 cups of ice cream)etc I knew it had to stop. I committed to NO SUGAR/No Carbs (only carbs were from green veggies) Over the last 8 years I have lost 70+ lbs. I lost 40, 8 yrs ago then 30+ 3 yrs ago. I am once again off the sugar to lost the last 20. The first few days were tough with headache/fogginess but after a week or so the cravings really do go away. I told myself, do it for 1 month and see how you feel. 27 lbs later….I kept it up. The only advice I have is JUST DO IT..you can do anything for 1 month. Hang it there and PM me if you need any help (PS my 1st diet bet too)
