Well life has thrown me a bit of a curve. I have had stomach issues for about 6 weeks. Without sharing personal details, i ended up have emergency surgery last week to remove part of my bowel. I have no choice but to loose weight because i cant eat much. But in the flip side no exercise for 6 weeks and that will be hard.

It’s so quiet here….How is your weight loss going so far and what are you doing to lose the weight? I’m vegan so I’m using Dr. Gregor’s How Not To Diet book and also doing Dr. Longo’s Fasting Mimicking Diet for 5 days once a month. I’m also counting calories and eating less than Dr. Gregor says because I tried it without counting calories and gained weight, sigh. I’m half way to this month’s goal.

I didn’t know what 2B was so I looked it up. Very interesting.

I have a personal trainer that started me on a workout regimen, and set my macros for me. I track everything I eat/drink.

What do you do when you have a ton of holidays and you can’t put the food on a scale before you eat it? I’m Jewish (but not religious) and I can’t even bring my phone with me to meals because they don’t use electronics on holidays. How do I do this? I’m very scared to go over my calorie goals unintentionally…

I started Wondr recently and plate portioning like above was mentioned. What I have found most helpful is to slow down my eating, savor the meal, eat with all the senses more slowly. It felt painfully slow at first. But with practice it really helped me eat less. The main thing was stopping every twenty minutes or so to asses if I was full. Stop when full. I did diet bet to hold myself to account for all the upcoming Holidays. Best of luck!

I follow a plating method also. I fill half my plate with veggies, a quarter protein, a quarter carbs. If it’s a holiday, and I want seconds, I start with veggies. (I’m also human and go off track, but this is what I try to do.)
