Non-scale victory: well it doesn’t look like I’m going to make my goal weight for January but I measured myself this morning and the tape measure doesn’t lie! (I believe sometimes the scales do) I lost an inch off my waist, an inch off my hips, half an inch off my left thigh and an inch off my right thigh. No change to my chest which is just as big a win! 😂 I’m pleased with that and understand that not every change will be on the scales.

Love this! Im so close to weigh in goal- it’s a bit annoying to have to fine toothcomb pick my choices today just to hit that .4 more loss when I just started my cycle

I’ve been having trouble staying on my diet. I’m doing Noom but it’s just so complicated. Last night I was going to quit. The one thing that convinced me not to was the tape measure. My waist is a full 5 inches larger than it was when I was at my happiest. I felt so depressed about that so went to sleep and started afresh today. Let’s do this!

@Mezzie I definitely feel their goal is too aggressive! Twelve pounds by 1st March? No. That seems unhealthy to me.

Thank you everyone! What I’m also struggling with is Noom’s advice to weigh myself daily. It’s exhausting because I’m starting every single day disappointed. I can’t sustain that.

Just completed my first workout of the year. Have not worked out at all since November as I had flu - the kind that floors you for weeks! It felt good to be out of breath for the right reasons. Does that sound weird? Anyway, glad to be back exercising! I’m 44% on my way to my round 1 goal with diet changes and feeling positive.

So any thoughts about what might help? I had to freeze my gym stuff because my doctor want to check some stuff out and she told me light exercise and light weights. I feel a little lost and being that it’s starting to get cold here in NJ and I don’t have sidewalks in my neighborhood I’m a little confuzzled as to what to do to keep moving. I’ve had set a resolution to walk 10000 steps a day but it’s very hard working a desk job. I try taking walk breaks but still…. Thoughts?

A walking pad! There are some cheaper options out there (I just googled and found one for $46! How long it’ll last/quality idk but for that little might be worth it!) or you could look at the under the desk pedals for low impact cardio and to keep moving.

I work from home and have a standing desk but added a walking pad late last year. It's not a real treadmill and can easily be rolled out of the way or leaned against a wall. It is quiet enough that I can walk while being on a call. I can also do light work while using it. I move it out of the way and sit down while doing serious work. I walk slow while working but get about 2+ miles an hour according to my Garmin.

Wow, I am so disappointed in myself. I decided to go for a walk, which I haven't done in forever, and could barely walk 1/4 of a mile before I felt like dying. I used to run 5Ks several years back. Sigh.....

I submitted with the quarter rounded down to the nearest pound and they accepted my weigh in and rounded it up to .3 so I think that will be how I do it when submitting from now on

Glad you figured it out! Yes, it does allow for one decimal, so rounding to .3 would be the way to go.

I absolutely love cruises. I'm planning a trip for Israel in May, which may get canceled. If it does I was thinking of a cruise instead.
