My second kiddo goes off to college in August. I believe it will be easier to lose weight when he is gone because I won’t have his snacks, make him carbs, etc. wondering if I am being realistic or delusional? Just curious…did you gain or lose weight when your kids left the house?

This is also the case for me, more junk in the house when my daughter is home from college, which means more temptation and more discipline needed on my behalf. She’s coming home today for spring break. This week will be a challenge, but we’ve got this!!!

This week the challenge for our work wellness challenge is no more than 2 cups of caffeine a day! I was a life-long Mt. Dew drinker until a year ago (I'm actually 15 months without it) and I have sort of 'replaced' that with Arbonne Fizz sticks and a nightly Bubbl'r (both have caffeine). I know I need to drink more water, but when the temps are in the 20's-30's like they will be this week, I don't care for it as much. The hardest time of day is lunch/afternoon. I'm a teacher and I hit that afternoon slump. Any advice on that time of day? I do like tea and have my electric tea kettle at work so it's easy to make there. Sometimes I have tea in the morning (at school) instead of water.

My current caffeine intake schedule: wake up: 1 arbonne fizz to take pills + green smoothie for breakfast (thinking of just doing water here?)
lunch: arbonne fizz
prep/PM slump: sometimes another fizz stick
evening: bubbl'r

Hey fellow teacher! I used to have a similar caffeine schedule, but eventually it caught up to me with problems and my esophagus. Long story short I quit caffeine with the exception of an occasional afternoon iced coffee with 1 teaspoon of fiber, 1 teaspoon of collagen, and half of a protein drink added. It has made a world of difference, and I do not depend on the caffeine for my energy. My body has adjusted and yours will too! Keep up the good work.

  • I LOVE this tray! If it's not easy to grab neither my husband or daughter will eat it. They both have been eating way more fruits and veggies since I got this. For lunch and dinner I just put this on the table and everyone gets to pick what they want. I still cook veggies too, but both my husband and daughter usually go for this first.

My goal is 44 lbs gonzo by my 44th birthday in August. This will be the perfect start to that! I have been following Brittany for what seems like forever now and this is my 4th or 5th DietBet with her. Welcome!

What a great goal! This challenge will be a springboard for my weight loss journey as well. I have about 80 pounds to lose but taking things one day at a time as I know it will take a while to lose that much in a healthy sustainable way.
