  • Made Brittany’s Beijing Beef and Broccoli for lunch, along with some brown rice. I’ve found I have to have healthy food prepared in advance…otherwise poor choices are made!!

  • Decided to juice…as I heard it helps weight loss & it’s more refreshing than water. Not sure how or if I should mix them.

    I’ll think I’ll have the cucumber with ginger. Not sure on the rest. Any ideas

Finally, I have my weigh in entered. Good luck everyone! Thank you Brittney! Been following her from the start have all her books and pne of my favs on Instagram , I have had my struggles over the years . Quit smoking after 38 years ( smoke free for 7 years), hysterectomy 2018, at 53 , the following year lost my best friend, my Dad, tragically. Which can with a whopping 70 lbs. I have lost 22 lbs in the last three 2 years up and down and cant get past to lose the next 20. ready to stop this yo yo roller coaster and make some life changes. I have a second granddaughter on the way in July. I need longevity and a flexible body for a 4 yr old and newborn . Thank you for reading and here to support , as everyone has a story, that's life.

This is my first time doing the diet bet too! It sounds like you have had a rough few years, but you’re ready to tackle the last 20 lbs head on! I’ve got an 8 year old very active grandson and I tell him all my exercise is to keep up with him! Good luck and let’s do this!!!

  • Happy Day 1!! What are some of the new habits you’re going to work toward building this month?

    I want to incorporate strength training. I know that it’s so beneficial, especially as I get older. I’ll be honest though, I low-key hate it.
    I am going to focus on reframing the way I see it in my mind. Instead of focusing on what I don’t like, I’m going to focus on all of the benefits. Thought redirection has helped me tremendously throughout my journey.

I want to incorporate more e exercise/walking throughout my day. Take the stairs instead of the elevator, take the longer way around, etc. I only get maybe 3-4k steps in per day currently.

Also eating healthier and calorie watching-less fast food, less sodas, less candy for my sweet tooth.

I WFH and sit at my desk for long stretches of time. I plan to set an alarm to take 5-10 minute walk breaks every two hours and use my standing desk more.
