I'm trying to stay motivated as I didn't even come close to winning. I know why and its not all under my control with medicine changes, okay.. and some mini candy bars. Lol. I'm going to just keep at it. Be more intentional. Be more active and eat even more intentional...yes.. and stay away from the minis!. I still lost some so with that focus I'll try again and keep being healthier. Winners enjoy my share! Do something non caloric but rewarding for a job well done! It's hard to keep the scale going in the right direction. Good for you all!! Have a very blessed holiday season! .

I’m an election inspector, so it’s a super busy long day (5 AM to 10 PM), with intermittent fasting built in to the system (only two breaks)! Haha. People have brought in candy, cider and donuts for us but I am being good and keeping my distance. Hope you all made time for yourselves and your goals, and if you are in the US: time to vote! 🇺🇸❤

The scale is moving in the right direction. I hope I stay committed. My weakness is "reasoning" myself into poor decisions. "I'll just have a margarita tonight with dinner" "I'll just order what I want and not beat myself up about it."
The last 3 nights have resulted in *not great* dinner/calorie choices. I am trying to make it up during the day by staying on track or below my calorie limits.

    ** Starting on Friday there will be a post asking if you completed the challenge, that is where you will comment if you completed it. You will have until Saturday at 12 PM (noon) PST to report in. Everyone who completes this challenge and reports in will get their name in the drawing for a $20 Amazon gift card!

    This is not required, but at least once during the week, post about what you did for a workout. It will help give the rest of us some good ideas, encouragement, and motivation!

    **Please let me know if you need any modifications due to injury or health.

    Do you already have a habit of drinking plenty of water every day, or is it a struggle for you to get it in? Just like anything else, the more you do something, the easier it becomes to then incorporate it into your everyday life. This process is about building good habits, that not only lasts us through the game but through the rest of our lives. How did everyone's first day go? What's your plan for day 2?

  • Welcome everyone, so happy to have you all here with us!

    I like to do weekly challenges as part of our game, it helps to keep the game more interesting and motivating. (Optional of course)

    The First Challenge is a mini one: The Water Challenge!

    Here is the requirement if you want to participate:
    Drink at least 64 oz. of water a day, Thursday and Friday. Of course, you should keep it up after that, but we are highlighting hydration this week!

    *Water is such a vital and important part of everyone's health, and an integral part of any diet. Not only does it help cleanse your body of toxins, but it aids in weight loss and reduces water retention. Please feel free to drink more than 64 oz. in a day, especially if you are perspiring much at all. Ideally, you should be drinking half your body weight in ounces of water each day, but that much isn't required for this challenge.

    I will ask at the end of this week, starting on Friday, if you completed the challenge. You will need to report in on that post if you did complete the challenge to be entered into our first drawing. You will have until 12:00 PM PST on Saturday to report in. I will then put all the players who completed this week's challenge into our drawing for a $10 Amazon gift card that same day!

    And one suggestion, but not part of the challenge: Please introduce yourself and share your goals! I think it helps the group get to know each other and creates a way for each player to establish some accountability. Accountability with weight loss is essential! Let us know where you are on your weight loss/fitness journey, and what your short/long term goals are! Just for fun let us know where you are from. I live in Southern Utah.

Hi! I’m Adrianne. I live in the San Francisco Bay Area. This is my first DietBet I’ve tried in a year or so. My last DietBets were not successful because I didn’t take it seriously. This time is different. I’m tired of being over weight and having high blood pressure. Plus I want to look cute in clothes as a 33 year old woman! I’m at my heaviest I’ve been in about 4 years and I want to work hard to get to my goal of 140 pounds from 191 pounds. I know it’s going to be hard but hopefully I’ll be successful.
