- Just under 2 weeks ago, I ran the NYC Half Marathon. Today, I was informed that I was selected to run the NYC MARATHON in November. Yes, *THE* infamous NYC MARATHON.
What a great birthday present 🎁 (today is my birthday ????)
Time to step up my game and get into the best shape of my life, as I was one of the last people to finish the Half Marathon - yikes!

I believe I'm going to make it this round. After having blood work done, I found out that I am extremely anemic. I've been taking Iron supplements 3 times a day, for a week. What a drastic change! I have energy and can breathe. On the treadmill, I couldn't get above 3 mph and 20 minutes. I now, I can run and I am up to 5 mph for 30 minutes. The weight is melting off.

- Hi everyone! My husband and I were doing great until April. Our 20 month old was diagnosed with a terminal illness called Krabbe disease and was predicted to pass away by the end of the year. Our only option was to have a bone marrow transplant to extend his life. It isnt a cure, but it protects the brain and buys us time. We left our older 2 girls with family in SC and lived at Pittsburgh Children's Hospital for 6 months. We each gained at least 30 pounds this year and we are so ready to shed the weight now that we are back home and Arthur is not in such a vulnerable state.
