What a wonderful post! I think your thoughts on toxcitiy are dead on the money. Our way of thinking does impact our bodies. One thing I have found is I have to forgive myself. Forgiving and not dwelling on one failure enables me to move on and be better. Whether it is eating something bad or missing a workout, if I forgive myself - I am still happy with all of the other progress I have made and I continue on with the good choices. If I beat myself up I spiral out of control and everything goes out the door, diet and exercise. Yo-yoing is something I have been pretty good at. I am hoping the Sept Maintainer Bet helps me level out that yo-yo. Clean eating has been key to my weight loss tis time around. I have been in many of Marcie's dietbets. I never thought I would be a "clean" eater. It would be way too hard...and so many other excuses. The challenges Marcie gave us in her Kickstarter DietBets made me realize I can eat clean. My body and mind both love it when I eat clean. My body was angry too, but now we are happy campers.

I love this post! Gratitude and positive affirmations are actually helpful with weight loss. You are so right about toxicity and the importance of letting go of negative thoughts. Onward to the Maintainer!
On why DietBet and why now.

Hi Shari! I can relate to your story. I have been on DietBet 3.5 years - lost the bulk of my weight the first 9 months and then I used DietBet (love the community aspect) to help me keep it off, especially when I spike up a little after vacations. I coach now as well. I have had similar experiences losing and gaining weight and having some physical challenges (joints mainly - had the frozen shoulder!). I gave away ALL of of my larger clothes when I grew out of them so there is no going back. If I go over my maintenance range just a few pounds, all I have is tight pants LOL. I hopped on your blog because you are such a wonderful source of support for everyone in the game and I wanted to read YOUR story. I am glad I did - you WILL lose the weight you want to and I am glad you found DietBet!

what is boot camp? is it your own plan?

Shari

When I wrote this, it was my first DietBet and I had no idea what I was getting myself into. Boot camp is a great challenge for anyone who wants to really get him/herself into shape quickly. I myself, am not in good enough health and found the challenge to be too difficult. This piece was written to be amusing about my attempt.
