Well said! I'm happy you have found someone you enjoy spending time with. I am still in the hiding phase, but I was so happy to read this and see that I am not alone in feeling like I do when it comes to dating and self body image. Thank you

I've been avoiding DB for a bit now too & only do my monthly weigh in's on the 1 transformer I'm in. January was my frustration month & I realize I'm back on track now but it seems that the more I do, the more I think I need to do better. So happy to hear you're not giving up! I'm going to try & to turn the tables on my self sabotage. Time to make a list of accomplishments I've made in the almost year since I started the journey to a better Liz :-) thanks for giving me a nudge in the right direction!

Thank you for your honesty about where you were at. i know this post was a few years ago but it caught my eye! are you in Japan? I imagine it is so hard to stay on track with all the deliciousness Japan has to offer.

I always hated doing sports, of any kind, I was very lazy. Then one day I tried running, 2 years ago, and I'm still doing it today, 3/4 times a week running the 10k. Lost about 22 kg and now I've reached my ideal weight once and for all! It gives me such good feelings, I really can't think of myself without my running sessions. When I skip them for some days I start feeling depressed. And it's nice to see improvements through all the smartphone apps out there (I personally stick to Nike running, because I started with it and find it the simplest to use). By the way, I too started playing zombies run last week. I play 2 episodes per session, it's really great. I'm happy to hear stories like yours, like mine. Keep it UP! ;)

Congrats, Akane! There are more ways of measuring success than the scale! Way to go!

Oh, how my heart broke for you. And so very true that one unkind remark can make us forget all the kudos we have gotten. I think we all struggle with that. It's difficult to focus on the positive when our flaws are harshly pointed out.

Love Yourself and love what you are doing for Yourself. Be proud of your hard work. Keep on keepin on. You are a Rock Star and a Princess, Akane. (((hugs)))

i'm right there with you on the self sabotage!

the journey we've started in losing weight has it's ups and downs. no matter how many times people say something about "how good" I look and are amazed at the loss so far, in the back of my head i'm saying to myself " i still weigh XXX. how is that "skinny"?!?"

we just need to focus on the positive, right?
You have to start somewhere.

Congratulations...........it is the point where you become disgusted, I suppose, that you finally determine you need to start making the right choices. I am proud of you - I know it is not easy but your results are the "proof is in the pudding" motivator I need!
