I'm my own worst enemy when it comes to my weight. I hate going to the gym, because you can see the judgment on people's faces. I finally dragged myself to a gym and joined it. There's only one person who looks at me in that way at this gym. I think I will be ok there as long as I can keep brushing it off.

I've reached my 50 pound down benchmark! YAY! Thank you so much for your continuous support!
I'm thinking about starting a blog helping people struggling with weight loss and self image. This is something I have personally dealt with and have overcome but could always use improvement. What are some struggles that you have been through? Any comments or suggestions would be greatly appreciated!

I'm back on track! My daughter was in the hospital then we went on vacation to the smokey mountains! It was gorgeous! Didn't gain that much but now I'm back on track and losing I feel so alive!


Good to hear :) I hope everything is alright with your daughter but I'm happy to see you are taking control of your health. Stay on track! I'm back on it as well.

Well I did it my friends. I made it through our state fair without one of their famous cream puffs or any of their other yummy offerings like a deep fried milky way or snicker, funnel cake sundae, nor did I indulge in a delicious ear of corn soaked in butter😁 Have a great day!!

Good for you, I too will just skip our fair because I know I would eat the corn or two, and many other bad things like vinegar fries and cheese curds. You should be proud of yourself.

  • Here's a recipe that is super simple. I came up with it a few years ago when I kept craving pancakes and french toast but couldn't have them due to my dietary restrictions! I actually prefer these now over real french toast! :)

    You will need:
    3 slices Alvarado Street flax seed bread (low carb, fiber bread)
    2 eggs or 4 egg whites
    1/4 tsp vanilla extract
    1/4 tsp cinnamon (pumpkin pie spice also works)
    1 tsp stevia sweetener
    nonstick spray (I use coconut oil spray)

    Toppings: Walden Farms CALORIE-FREE maple syrup
    (can also use berries, bananas, etc etc)

    Mix eggs, vanilla, cinnamon, stevia. Dip slices of bread into egg mixture and let them soak. On medium-high heat, spray your nonstick in a pan and cook on each side until french toast is done.

    Calories: 290-400 (dependent on toppings and type of egg)
    Fat: 5-10
    Net Carbs: 12-18
    Protein: 10-20
