How do you verify the weight loss?

For all official weigh-ins, you'll be prompted to submit your official starting weight. Our standard weigh-in process involves you submitting 2 photos: one of you standing on a scale in lightweight clothing (no shoes, hats, belts, watches, coats, or outerwear), and another of the scale’s readout with your weigh-in word written on a piece of paper.

What you'll need

  • A scale (preferably digital)
  • A digital camera or smartphone
  • A full-length mirror or someone to take your photo

I’m bummed I didn’t complete my DietBet. I ended up with a stomach flu during weight in. I could barely stand never mind take a after pic. Although I prob passed my goal with all the fluids I lost

That's too bad!

  • See the picture right on top of your name. There is a box that says ‘everyone’. It’s a drop down menu so you can click it and select host. Then scroll through the msg. I just checked, the post is still there.

80k bet 8 dollar profit here. My other bet 204k but 6 dollar profit. Always joining smaller bets gives a better return it’s always been this way in each bet I’ve joined .

If you got your money back be happy people!! I was 1 lb shy of goal so I lost my $30 plus the $8 you won so really if you won you won $38!! Congrats!!! Be happy! 😃

While it would have been exciting to win a lot of money, I was mostly motivated to get my $30 back! I got what I wanted; I lost 7#, & I got a little cash on top of getting my bet back! I'm very pleased with my experience!

It is disheartening to see all the negativity. The truth is you get out of life what you put into it. If you lost weight, you had free nutritional advice and workouts and community support and you got all your money back, you have no reason to be mad about it. If you hadn’t joined you may have gained that weight or at least not lost it. If you didn’t make it, or didn’t weigh in and your pissed, you really can only be upset with yourself. You can taker personal responsibility and make better choices next time but you have no one to blame.

People need to read more and find out how dietbet works. It is not a money making business. You wanna win big? Buy a lottery ticket!
They don’t understand how they the game works!
Where can you find a place where you lose weight and get your money back? No gym and weight loss companies do that. You usually pay them and get zero back out of it. So stop whining and do your homework! Read the rules of the game first before you play!

I’m happy with the 8 dollars. I could have lost 30. This game helped motivate me to do what I already set out to do, which was to lose weight and eat less pizza. Mission accomplished for this month on to the next.

And que the disappointment from new members!!! You have to realise diet bet take 25% of every bet as their fee and they have people to pay .. bigger bets see bigger amount of winners people come to dietbet thinking they will get rich . It’s never going to happen . My lowes was a $3 profit my highest was $18 . January you will see more people who have resolutions to hit. I’ve done 21 bets and losing weight getting my money back and the community spirit (apart from the greed at the end which spoils the whole game) is why I’m here you should be happy you had so much support and you didn’t lose money meaning you bet on yourself because you knew you could do it . I was going to carry on with diet bets until my weight was gone but you know what .. I’ve had it .. it’s great then you get this horrible feeling at the end when all you see is twisting and moaning about how much people didn’t make .. if you win congratulations and if you didn’t make it your still a winner at life for making the decision to better yourself x

Don’t let others stop you, just don’t read the comments at the end of the game. :) Reach your goals!

I, for one, was happy that the payout was not huge because that means that MANY people were successful in getting healthy...and that makes me feel good! I do not understand the negativity...I just wanted the extra motivation to NOT lose my $30 buy in...and that did it for me! I think this is a great concept, and I will try it again!
