How do you verify the weight loss?

For all official weigh-ins, you'll be prompted to submit your official starting weight. Our standard weigh-in process involves you submitting 2 photos: one of you standing on a scale in lightweight clothing (no shoes, hats, belts, watches, coats, or outerwear), and another of the scale’s readout with your weigh-in word written on a piece of paper.

What you'll need

  • A scale (preferably digital)
  • A digital camera or smartphone
  • A full-length mirror or someone to take your photo

  • This is it! Only about 8 hours left to submit your final weigh in for this game! Remember that the deadline is 11:59 PM Pacific time.

  • It's already that time! Time to submit your final weigh in!

Please remember that you should always receive two emails and two system notifications for each weigh in. The first indicating your weigh in was received and the second indicating your weigh in was either approved or rejected. It's important to keep an eye out for the status of your weigh in just in case it needs to be resubmitted.

Did you reach your goal weight?

Jon B.

I did!!

Get ready for the final weigh in! Once the game ends tonight at midnight PST, you have until 11:59PM PST on Jun 12 to submit your final weight. If you're a winner, you'll be asked to submit photos and will get a new weigh-in word when you visit the weigh-in screens.

Submit early to make sure your photos are accepted, and remember - don't eat that cupcake until you get an email that your photos are approved! (If you don't get one, check your spam folder.) You must have an approved weigh-in in order to be declared a winner.

The game will finalize 24-36 hours after all weigh-ins have been submitted. Good luck!

  • We are in the home stretch! I've been thinking a lot this week about what it means to get back to basics. For me, that is upping my exercise, increasing my water intake and really watching what I eat.

One thing I really struggle doing consistently is tracking my calories. It seems silly in this day and age that I really resist doing this. With the Apps available it couldn't be easier. I just don't like to do it! I do see a difference though on the scale when I do. It's amazing how many calories I don't even realize I am consuming when I am not tracking.

What is something you struggle with doing but know it really makes a tremendous difference when you do? We can support each other! :)

I have to force myself to lift weights. I enjoy running, biking, etc., but standing around inside picking up and setting down heavy things is hard to get excited about, but it's an essential thing to do to protect and possibly even build up muscle while losing weight.

Referee Kim

Oh, that is a good one. I enjoy lifting weights but my outdoorsy friend says the same as you! :)

Still 0.3 kg to go... And on Saturday, I have a 50 km hike coming up, so I'm constantly switching between "Need to eat enough to make it" and "Can't let go of all control, or I might not meet my goal weight". A bit stressful, but I'm looking forward to both the hike and winning this bet!

Thanks a lot Kim! It is my first try hiking this much. My max so far was 30 km. However, this time there is close to no elevation difference and the 30 km hike included 1.000 m elevation change. Sooo I think I can make it

Referee Kim

How did it go? I've been thinking about you!

I've exceeded the goal a few times. But my weight yoyos a few pounds back and forth constantly based on what I eat - amount of carbs, sodium, etc - and the amount of activity I'm doing. I was a couple of pounds over at my last weigh-in, but I'm pretty confident that if I'm deliberate about what I eat that I will make or break the goal.

Made and beat it!

I am upping my water intake and lowering my carbs and seeing results! Lost another 1.5 pounds!

That is a good strategy for sure! How has it been going?

Anna A.

It has been great. The water and lower carbs are giving me more energy. I am upping my exercise too. I really like DietBet. It keeps me motivated!
