For all official weigh-ins, you'll be prompted to submit your official starting weight. Our standard weigh-in process involves you submitting 2 photos: one of you standing on a scale in lightweight clothing (no shoes, hats, belts, watches, coats, or outerwear), and another of the scale’s readout with your weigh-in word written on a piece of paper.

    In keeping with the weekend vibes where i see most people slip up and over eat/ indulge.

    I really wish I had known this when I first started losing weight. It used to frustrate me so much when I'd be doing everything right and the scale wouldn't budge. Just keep with in mind as well and salt/water weight. You can't let it get to you because chances are if you hold out you'll step on the scale one morning and woos, 5 lbs down. 

    Dieting causes our body to stress (cortisone) which makes us love to retain water. STAY STRONG EVERYONE!

My future self will be around and healthy for my kids. To be able to run around with them and not get winded, to practice soccer and not use the excuse of “I’m tired”, to watch them grow and have families of their own.
My future self will not be constrained by the physical challenges I have. Not suffering for heartburn after a nasty meal, not laying in bed all day after a horrible migraine.
My future self will look at myself in the mirror and think “I did this. I’m so proud of myself.”

    Im working with a trainer 2 times a week with one day focused on upper body and one day focused on lower body. Then i go to the gym for a hour of cardio two other days a week and try and get at least a walk in every other day! It's something that's always worked for maintaining my weight and losing weight. So simple to do, but also simple not to do.

Right now I’m focusing on my nutrition and eating clean following the 80 Day Obsession meal plan... I had a tailbone injury right after this started preventing me from following my workouts :( hopefully I’ll be healed soon and get back to working out - which is usually 6 days a

  • Hi all -

    Kind of got lost there with other things. But never too late to start this dietbet, right??!!

    My plan is pretty simple - and one must have a better plan than hoping - so here it is: eat real food and exercise daily. The easiest way to do that for me, is to just post up and get a streak going, and also noting some results.

    Some of these streaks have gone much longer, but since there was a break between dietbets, I didn't have anywhere to post, so I lost count - I could look back and calculate, but why not just start fresh and think about the future, not the the past!

    Weight: 180.2, Down 0.6
    Day 1: No Junk Food (fast food/chips/desserts)*
    Day 1: No alcohol
    Day 1: Only drink water, black coffee, unsweetened tea
    Day 1: Exercise daily**
    Day 1: Drink 50.7 oz water day***

    * Dessert - will sometimes have fruit or yogurt or both
    ** Bare minimum would be 1.5 mi walk, 20 pushups, 200 crunches barring injury
    *** Up from 16 oz from last dietbet (64 oz is a stretch goal, but don't want to push it, drinking water is the for the birds!)

    I took some pics of comparing air quality here from the fires vs. normal - so exercising indoors. Pretty crazy being that we are ~150 miles away. But we are the lucky ones, I feel for those that have lost their loved ones, and have lost their homes. Been investigating how to help.

    Any of you also catching smoke, had to modify activity?
