How do you verify the weight loss?

For all official weigh-ins, you'll be prompted to submit your official starting weight. Our standard weigh-in process involves you submitting 2 photos: one of you standing on a scale in lightweight clothing (no shoes, hats, belts, watches, coats, or outerwear), and another of the scale’s readout with your weigh-in word written on a piece of paper.

Just want to share my non scale victory with you all! I went to the gym today! Normally I just walk/run on treadmill and do simple things like squats and sit ups at home. My husband was off work today and he takes the gym very seriously and wanted me to go with him today while the kids were at school. We have very little time to do things like that together because of the kids and their sports and house work and me working a different shift as him. But today we made time! It felt great. He pushed me to do workouts and I’m already so sore, but I’m so happy also

That's great! A recent article I read said couples who lose weight (or make a healthy lifestyle together) have better outcomes long term for their health, and it sounds like you are setting a great example for your kids too. double win

  • I'm not perfect by any means, but I do know how important water intake is for you. It is recommended that you drink at least half your body weight in oz. of water a day. (i.e. you weight 200 lbs, drink 100 oz.). I know I feel better when I drink more water. This is one of my main goals for this challenge to really get my water intake in.

    In the morning, I've been drinking 2 cups of lemon ginger water. Then I refill all my nalgene water bottles and try to make sure I drink them all in.

I’ve heard the, drink half your body weight, thing too. I try for that. Some days though, I think I need to move my office to the restroom!

Found a new subscription app to try. It’s called Day One. It’s a journal app. My plan is to write down my activity and food habits. I’ll write m successes and struggles. The app allows for pictures to be added, so I’ll also add progress pictures. I’m hoping this will help keep me motivated. Does anyone else have a photo type journal fitness app that they use and love?

I use both, My Fitness Pal and Lose It. They’re both journal apps to help keep track of what I put in my mouth, and excersise. I prefer Lose It, because as my weight goes down, my calorie intake goes down. As far as pictures, I keep my own journal in my “notes” on my phone. :blush:

I have a Fitbit that I use to track calories, workouts and water. I just need something more visual and a place to put down my thoughts as well. Thank you all for your feed back. It is truly appriciated.

  • This is what I've been trying to tell myself all week. I've been sick and haven't done much with regards to nutrition and my workouts have been super small. But the fact that I'm aware and working towards making positive is a good start. I think it's a good reminder for all of us to understand that even baby steps is a good start. We don't have to compare ourselves to everyone else. It's our own personal journey and we can try the best we can. We can do this!
