For all official weigh-ins, you'll be prompted to submit your official starting weight. Our standard weigh-in process involves you submitting 2 photos: one of you standing on a scale in lightweight clothing (no shoes, hats, belts, watches, coats, or outerwear), and another of the scale’s readout with your weigh-in word written on a piece of paper.

  • It's time for the 2nd Challenge: The Fitness Challenge!

    Monday-Friday: Get a minimum of 30 minutes of exercise in each day. Walking, jogging, swimming, elliptical, sports, weight lifting whatever you want........Your choice. Just get your heart pumping, and muscles working! You can break it up into segments if you need to.

    ** Starting on Friday there will be a post asking if you completed the challenge, that is where you will comment if you completed it. You will have until Saturday at 12 PM (noon) PST to report in. Everyone who completes this challenge and reports in will get their name in the drawing for a $20 Amazon gift card!

    This is not required, but at least once during the week, post about what you did for a workout. It will help give the rest of us some good ideas, encouragement, and motivation!

I’m curious what kind of eating plan everyone follows. I’ve tried calorie counting, weightwatchers,keto, paleo,basically you name it and I’ve tried it but because I’ve tried so many I am having a hard time choosing a sustainable plan for me and sticking with it.

For what it’s worth, the “diet” that’s been proven successful in longevity studies is Mediterranean. People tend to be able to stick to it for long periods of time as well as see lasting results. Communities that eat Mediterranean diets tend to live the longest. A Mediterranean diet is pretty much what we all know to be healthful, eat a variety of vegetables, fruits and unprocessed foods. Eat nutrient dense proteins and incorporate healthy fats. At the end of the day there are no tricks or gimmicks or magic cures. Eat real food, be moderately active every day and for most of us that is the key to success!

I use a website called freedieting.com to get a calorie count and just put them into myfitnesspal and stick to them. I also aim for about 10-15k steps a day which means running and walk to get those steps and ive had good success with it lately. Of course most of my calories are good things like veggies and chicken.

I am doing well. Completely stopped eating in front of the tv and am doing one hour of laps in the pool everyday. It shows in my weight! HAPPY!

  • Good food and activity today! Played around with some battle ropes since the gym was empty today. Also discovered some really tasty tarragon goat cheese to pair with my salad. Detailed my car and then watched the nuggets game with my husband (aka read a book while he watched the game). Im having brunch with some friends tomorrow so I am going to have to get creative on a veggie forward choice! Otherwise this weekend has been both active and good nutrition (other than I learned I’m obsessed with aperol spritzes). How do you all incorporate healthy balance with holidays? My family walked one 5k with me for a holiday and said never again 😂
