  • Good Morning team - Happy Friday.
This last Sunday I set a goal for myself to run 3 miles a day for 5 days & you guys I did it! I am so proud of myself because TBH yesterday I almost told myself to skip my run, that I had already done 12 miles & that was enough. I was telling myself how proud I should be because I ran 4 days in a row so one additional day wouldn't matter. On top of that my boyfriend had to work late last night so our normal schedule was really thrown off, so I thought great thats one more reason I don't need to run. Well I showed up for myself last night & finished my goal & totaled out at 15 miles of jogging for the week. Most of you know I am 3 months post op skin removal surgery so this is such a huge win for me.
Of course once I finished my run last night I sat there & reminded myself how good it felt to accomplish a goal that I set for myself. I was comparing it to when I first had started losing my weight. Would I have stopped when I lost 30 lbs? NO! I had bigger plans for myself & if I would have always allowed myself to talk myself out of my progress I wouldn't be here. I wouldn't be as healthy as I am, I wouldn't be able to run 3 miles a day. All of the hard work and the days you find yourself pushing through will all eventually come full circle. You will have days that you find yourself dismissing your progress, telling yourself that you have done enough and lets be honest maybe you have. Was 12 miles enough? Yes, but that wasn't MY GOAL. There is a difference between doing less just because you can or actually pushing through your own negative self talk.
I hope you find this useful as we head into the weekend.
I want you all to think ahead for next week & set a goal for yourself that you WILL accomplish 5 days in a row.
It can be anything from nutrition, water, walking your dog every night, changing up your workouts.
What are you going to commit to next week?
Drop a comment below I want to hear it because I'm going to hold you to it!

My commitment this week is to meet my water goal of 150 ounces, track my food every day and get some activity in every day.

My goal is to make dinner 5 days this week. I have not been cooking lately and instead eating mini quick meals. I need to get better nutrition back in my lunches and dinners. Canned soup and salads are getting old.
