How do you verify the weight loss?

For all official weigh-ins, you'll be prompted to submit your official starting weight. Our standard weigh-in process involves you submitting 2 photos: one of you standing on a scale in lightweight clothing (no shoes, hats, belts, watches, coats, or outerwear), and another of the scale’s readout with your weigh-in word written on a piece of paper.

What you'll need

  • A scale (preferably digital)
  • A digital camera or smartphone
  • A full-length mirror or someone to take your photo

Just in case anyone is wondering...
$9600 pot (-20% dietbet fee)=$7680
$7680 divided amongst 83 winners (a high percentage)=$92.53.
BUT, dietbet releases part of their 20% fee to bring it up to the initial amount. (They do not release ALL of their 20% fee, just the amount necessary to being winners back up to the initial bet amount.)
So, you should get your $100 back.

Mark K - that’s all I was saying - for me the idea of a financial upside return made it more interesting so having achieved it I’m disappointed too.

I have to say (and big DietBet fan here who has played lots of games and only had this happen twice, along with a couple of games where it was a dollar or less, maybe), that I understand the math, but do think there should be some kind of an automatic “win” built into each game. It can be small. A few dollars—even a credit towards another game, or a DietBet water bottle. But for the lousy feelings it causes, I think DietBet could eat the small cost on these and be happy so many people succeeded.
