How do you verify the weight loss?

For all official weigh-ins, you'll be prompted to submit your official starting weight. Our standard weigh-in process involves you submitting 2 photos: one of you standing on a scale in lightweight clothing (no shoes, hats, belts, watches, coats, or outerwear), and another of the scale’s readout with your weigh-in word written on a piece of paper.

What you'll need

  • A scale (preferably digital)
  • A digital camera or smartphone
  • A full-length mirror or someone to take your photo

Today I did something I haven’t done in years. I went on an outdoor walk. It was just around my neighborhood but I haven’t taken an outdoor walk in years.

I was always physically able to walk. Because of my weight I walk slow and can’t go to far. I’m out of breath from the very start but I could always walk. I never went because of the fear of people seeing me and judging my weight.

I have gotten into fasting and been walking on a treadmill the last few months. I am slowly losing weight. Maybe this has helped my motivation, lessened my fear?

I got up early put my shoes on and was out the door before 6:30. It was dark, but I think that helped me. I was just going to do a lap or two around a cul de sac but I felt good and decided to push myself farther.

I ended up walking 1.5 miles in the brisk air and I feel good. I was still nervous every time a car passed me but I put my head down and just kept walking. 😀
