I need to stop eating after dinner and I’d love it if my refrigerator door handles and pantry door would just ‘zap’ my hands every time I try to open them after dinner-Haha!!! Oooffff-the struggle breaking bad habits is real. I know I can do it-going to replace that habit with getting up for a treadmill walk, or doing a chore or two, reaching out to chat with someone I haven’t spoken with in a while, etc! I can do hard things!

Of course now I remember my other question... ??‍♀️ should I be using amino acids in my protein shake each day? I use 1st phorm ignition carbohydrate, 1st phorm phormula 1 protein powder, and their creatine powder each day with water and ice. Would amino acids benefit me?

  • I know it’s supposed to be active rest today but because of my schedule I rest on Tuesdays. That meant today was Mondays leg day, had just barely recovered from the last one!

    Down 1.2 pounds, gotta keep up the consistency!!!

Happy Week 1 is coming to end. I learned about the importance of tracking calories/macros and that I feel way better with adequate protein and fiber and lots of times when I feel tired/hungry I'm actually dehydrated. I didn't see the scale move too much, but I'm hoping to double-down on good habits and see some success next week.

When I first started tracking my macros, I had no idea how much fat I was taking in on a daily basis. Tracking is so important.

This week I felt proud that I stuck to my workout routine, and while I wasn’t perfect with my nutrition, I was very intentional with what I ate. Meal prepping was key, especially getting back into the swing of things between work, school, and after school activities. Trying to stick with a routine that is sustainable when life gets busy (dance mom here and dance competition season starts in a month for us 😬), so I’m hoping to establish that before it gets crazy! Before I had an all or nothing mindset - if I grabbed McDonald’s for breakfast I already ruined the day so I should just eat whatever the rest of the day and try again tomorrow. Working to get out of the mindset and hit my goals! Great job everyone on their first week!

For that afternoon sweet craving, I do 1/2 cup Greek yogurt, 1/2 cup frozen berries, 1 T chia seeds, 1/2 T honey, and a little stevia liquid. So good!

  • I’m doing the Hourglass Project for my workouts and man are they a challenge! But a challenge in the best way possible. No wonder Joel’s other half Megan is such a stunner!
    I’m lifting heavier than I ever have and working muscles I didn’t even know about 😆
    I’m staying on top of my macros but having hard time getting in the amount of recommended protein. It’s just so much…
    Also went on a beautiful 7km hike with a friend today.
    I really hope my hard work ends in a win for this bet.

  • I took yesterday as an active recovery day so today was Legs…again! I actually said “you suck, Joel” when I looked at the calendar 😆
    Had to drop my weights for reverse lunges but only hit pause once.
