I have so many of those days. Where work has completely drained me and I KNOW i want to go to the gym but my mind convinces me that it is okay to skip one day. I rationalize by saying "If I'm exhausted I wont have a beneficial workout anyway" . I live so close to my gym ( less than 5 minutes walk) so I tend to go home after work and then head back out after I change. But that is extremely dangerous because once you get home, who really wants to leave?! Now I try to pack my gym clothes and bring with me to work so instead of walking past the gym, I force myself to go in because "I already have the clothes in my bag, why not"?

To follow up, I've stayed mostly on track for the last few days. Today was my birthday and I went out to dinner again with friends and I actually had opportunities to get dessert and have drinks but I decided to just enjoy the company and not focus on the food. I've NEVER been able to hold myself accountable on my birthday before, I've always used it as an excuse.
