    I did this diet bet (and one previous to this) to shed some excess pounds and be as healthy as can be for trying to conceive.

    I lost a baby in November at 14 weeks 💔 and this made me more determined than ever to get healthy. Whilst my weight had nothing to do with the loss, I wanted to minimise risks for future pregnancy.

    I can now proudly say my BMI is no longer in the obese range, just ‘overweight’! 🙌 I’m fully aware that BMI is kinda BS anyway, but it’s what medical professionals use, and like to remind you of at every appointment. 😒

    Though I’m still waiting for confirmation, I have won this DietBet, lost 8lb, and gained… drum roll please… A PREGNANCY! 😭

    I’m over the moon! I’ve cried so many happy tears. On the off chance someone on here knows me IRL, don’t tell my mum before I do! 😜

Consistency and Sustainability. You need to be more consistent over time than you’re not and you need to pick a workout and a nutrition plan that works for you. FOR. YOU. It’s not a one size fits all world- different things work for different people. It needs to be sustainable- this is for your lifetime. Not just 4 wks.

I’ve tried every diet under the sun… and here is the truth:
They all usually work IF you stick to them. Find something you can stick to!

I’m currently trying to just make healthy choices, watch portions, and track foods. Ideally I’d like to work my way down to 1500… but I’m more around 2k right now.

I’m interested and researching gut biome and am trying to keep that in mind! Trying to eat a diverse range of plants, and gut friendly foods (kimchi is my new best friend!)

My calories are higher than I’d like, but I still lost weight last week. Sticking to it is so much more important than a strict plan!

I think that’s where I’m having the problem. I tried Weight Watchers for about two weeks then Keto and now today I am going to try just counting calories and see what happens
