Hey, how are you? Summer events? I have a sprint, half mara and full mara planned. Dave and I are doing the Mt. Evans Hill Climb too. :-p I just jumped into FW 26. Cheers!

Hey! Good to hear from you! No summer events for me - I've put races on hold for now. Still working out & trying to keep it fun as opposed to "have to do". Also trying to focus on family. Sounds like you've got some great stuff lined up. Have fun!

Hey! Yeah, I decided not to play this month for various reasons (mainly having to do with crazy family schedules). I am targeting an Aqua-Velo race in June and have just now been able to start a walk/run plan with no heel pain, so I am hoping to be able to do a full triathlon in Sept. I am still doing crazy MAD workouts. The last one we did: Wally's, Assault bike, traveling bus boy w/kettlebells, ultra slide board and punches on the bag. How are you doing this month?

Paula, here I am, puttering along, grateful with my 1 pound loss, thinking about how you and I seem to struggle at the same times of year, so I thought I'd come check up on (read "stalk") you. I see we've both had a "gain" year. I thought, maybe we can set a goal to "lose" from this time last year... Get our graphs going back down... Still processing this and just thinking out loud with you, here...

Hey lady! You can stalk me anytime ;) it's amazing to me how when I was at my lowest, I did not feel thin or grateful for where I was. Even when I was ten lbs heavier I had negative thoughts. Now here I am back wearing the same 20 lbs that I've lost over and over again trying to figure out how to break this negative cycle. I appreciate you "throwing down the challenge", but I can't honestly say if that will be what "pushes the button for me." Right now I don't know what will - perhaps some sort of fundamental shift in my thinking - but plan on doing some soul searching and attacking the next game with vigor!

Good on ya for weighing in! That in-laws visit HAS to be about over, you'll jump back onto your game once you've re-established your routine, I'm sure. Good choice to focus on family (and your marriage), rather than trying to do both (and succeeding at neither!).

Thanks Dave. I can't say I was successful at both though. I think it was more of a situation where I felt that if I was going to be miserable regardless, I might as well indulge. Not a good strategy.

Life is the rhythm of cycles -- seasonal, life milestones, weight loss (and some inevitable weight gain). One measure of wisdom is acknowledging and accepting where we are in those cycles. Again, glad to have you back active in the FWers!
