Well done for not giving up - somewhere deep inside there is still a bit of you that knows you can do this. A good friend once told me that resilience isn't about always keeping going, but having the courage to pick yourself up a and get back in there when things seem hardest. I think one of the great things about the DB community is seeing how many people have similar struggles and getting support from them. Some definitely have more struggles than others. But it sounds like you are taking stock and starting from where you are. Just knowing that you eat for comfort is a great insight to start eating for your health and well being. Don't strive for perfection. Make one good choice, then another. If you make two or three in a day, call it a good day and thank yourself before bed; and when you rise, do it again. :)

Oh my gosh... I just wrote my first blog post and feel EXACTLY LIKE THIS. So happy to read through this and have someone to relate to. I'm in the "been there done that" and "who's to say this will be any different" boat myself right now. UHG. I know I WANT to change. Here's to trying! Can't get anywhere without trying!
