It does get easier as time goes on and try to be forgiving so that each binge is shorter and shorter. Progress, not perfection!

OMG I'm cracking up! Brotato chip LOL sorry you had to deal with that. I hate when people assume things about you. Reminds me of the time I bought ingredients for an ice cream cake my daughter had requested for her birthday - 2 gallons of ice cream (because she wanted different flavored "layers", a package of oreos, and pink frosting. An older lady in line behind me says "Dear, do you really need all that?" My face got so red and my ears burned - like hot lava had been poured down my head. I'm not a confrontational person, so I just stood there for a second and then ignored her as I paid for my things. She said "Just trying to help you think about your choices". When I got to the car I cried and immediately thought of all the clever retorts I should have made. Still burns my biscuits when I think about it!

YES YES YES to all of that. I ALWAYS feel uncomfortable walking into places like GNC because I immediately feel like the salespeople are looking at me going - umm... are you lost? And I'm definitely not bold enough to whip out all of those "bro"-isms that you did so I usually just end up wandering around feeling overwhelmed and leave without asking for help because of the judgey judgertons staring into my fat-girl soul. I feel like I should just carry a sign in with me that says "YEA I KNOW I'M CHUBBY BUT I'M TRYING TO CHANGE THAT SO JUST HELP ME YOU DICKS!" hahahaha!I feel like "Supplements for dummies..." should be a store. I would go there.

Personally, I would rather hear the not-so-pretty truth about someone's experiences than the photoshop version. That could be because I struggle a lot so that's what I relate to and what makes me feel more inspired to keep going when things are tough. I don't think changing your life is as neat and glossy as magazine weight loss testimonials make it out to be. I used to think that's the way it had to be, but I've only gotten fatter and more miserable waiting for a magical "Aha!" moment where suddenly I'm the person I'm meant to be and the weight falls off.
