Sympathy. I'm sorry you are going through this and hope it can be resolved. Consider going to see a nutritionist. Many doctors have no more than a week or two during their training in nutrition studies. I'm guessing your doc doesn't have a real clue and is just throwing out the one thing he ever heard. As an aside, if you have to start eating meat again, be aware that you might have some digestive disturbance for the first few days, as your body has lost many of the enzymes needed to digest it.

Have you gone to another doctor for a second opinion? You may have something going on with your body that prevents absorption. I would think there is some underlying cause to your deficiency. Best of luck to you!

I Love your blog I am really struggling too. It has been a tuff week in deed but I refuse to give up. Thanks for your blog. It has been an inspiration to continue on the journey.We not alone,there are many out there like us struggling to keep focused.But we have each other and we joined this bet to help us keep on track and to motivate one another.
