...but the way I see it, you can either run from it, or learn from it." - Rafiki, The Lion King

I know I have used this quote already, but it just fits. And obviously I still have a lot to learn. -.-
So yesterday we (my team and I) had a table tennis match. So what did we do after it was over? We went out for a meal and drinks. It was a nice italian place which had great salads and other good possible choices... oh yeah and pizza of course, that's what I ordered. And not a small one, this thing had a diameter of 36cm (14.2 inches). Hi peer pressure! At least I only had water and kept clear of sodas. While we were sitting, talking and having fun, I realised that this might not have been one of my smartest decisions. So I only ate half (which I never do), and had the other half as takeaway food when we left (which I hate and never do). So when I came home I was still kind of hungry. I then weight the leftovers and it was still over 400 gr. of pizza, so probably over 1000 kcal. And I had already eaten that much. So I did something I never ever do. I threw it away. Let me get this straight, I never ever throw away food that hasn't gone bad. Not even if it's past the "best before" date. I mean it says "best before" and not "completely useless after", so if it's still good, it's still good. ^^
So this was a really hard thing for me to do, but I thought of it as some kind of "damage control". Yes, I made a bad decision, but that doesn't mean that I have to follow through with it. Late in the evening, I got really hungry and I am 100% sure that I would have eaten those leftovers if they had been there still. But as I had no "desirable" food at home (Whohoo to controlling your environment), I just ate an orange and drank a glass of water. Haha. It fullfilled it's pursose though.
Today, my parent's had some good friends over at their house, and I kind of "had to be there" too. It was a little bit of a boring day, but food-wise it was a good recovery. The only thing that bothered me was the fact that I couldn't do my planned run. So not a lot of calories burned today.
I am a little bit scared, as tomorrow is my weekly weigh-in day (I only weigh myself once a week on monday), and this weekend might have had some bad impact on the results. :( We'll see.
