...you can do it." - Walter Elias "Walt" Disney.
The quote of the day from the master himself. :)
Yesterday was great. I "weighed out" of my first dietbet (which I won. Woohoo.^^) in the morning and ultimately joined another one.
My family and I had lunch at a really nice restaurant (1* Michelin, 15 points Gault Millau). It was part of my mother's birthday present.
It was just awesome, and really not that expensive. It was 38,50€ for a three-course menu (plus two different amuse bouches, plus a pre-dessert). This is a "lunchtime" special offer. Dinner would be more expensive. And of course, the water and wine (which I didn't have) was a little more expensive. But all in all, it was great.
first amuse bouche: foie gras mousse with a redcurrant
second amuse bouche: three different things. a tiny cup of topinambur soup, a tiny piece of codfish with beetroot puree and a scallop with lemon-cucumber mousse
first course: hake on marinated green "Merinda"-tomatoes with fresh spring salads
second course: breast and leg from a "black leg chicken" with golden oyster mushrooms on sweet potatoe puree with herb cream sauce.
pre-dessert: self-made chocolates
dessert: crème chiboust with marinated blood oranges and pineapple-mint-sorbet
And of course there was freshly baked bread with butter and salt in between.
NO REGRETS AT ALL! :D
The one problem is, that I have absolutely no idea how many calories total the menu had. But I had skipped breakfast with wise forsight and was prepared to make up for it. I had a run scheduled for wednesday, so I had to make it count.

I "ran like a clockwork" (I'm not sure that this saying is translatable from german to english^^). Steady pace, good breathing, no pain, tunnel vision, everything was just perfect. Fastest time for 13K so far. :)
I felt so good about it, that I took a quick shower, and headed straight to table tennis practice an hour later where I really killed myself yesterday. :D
Today I weighed myself (which I normally never do unless it's monday) just to check if I had gained weight, but it was exactly the same (80.8kg). So I'm okay with that.
Today was totally unspectacular. Ate okay, didn't work out because it was my rest day. :)
So why todays quote? I dream of running a marathon before the end of the year 2015. It's still a dream yet, but hey: "If you can dream it, you can do it." And who would dare to contradict Walt Disney?!?! ;)
