How do you verify the weight loss?

For all official weigh-ins, you'll be prompted to submit your official starting weight. Our standard weigh-in process involves you submitting 2 photos: one of you standing on a scale in lightweight clothing (no shoes, hats, belts, watches, coats, or outerwear), and another of the scale’s readout with your weigh-in word written on a piece of paper.

What you'll need

  • A scale (preferably digital)
  • A digital camera or smartphone
  • A full-length mirror or someone to take your photo

  • Mission accomplished: skiing with the kiddo was amazing this year. Glad I started prepping back in August.

I’ve been the same weight for 10 weeks!! Eat more, eat less, exercise more, exercise less...same weight. My body knows how bad I want to see onederland and it’s messing with me.

Have you tried cutting out salt and drinking lots of water for a couple of days?

Are you sleeping enough? Stess?

Where are your calories? Did you track for a few days? If they are too high OR too low, your body will refuse to let go of more weight.

Also: check the scale and weigh yourself on another scale as well to compare a few times.

NEVER let anything sit on the scale for a while! It will mess with the scale accuracy.

Make sure the scale sits on a solid, even surface (no carpet!).

Weigh yourself first thing in the morning before eating/ drinking anything but after going to the bathroom.

Are you on a medication like Prednisone, which can prevent weight loss?

Hope any of this helps!

Linda W.

Biking Syl you are so great for taking time to try and help.
I could always sleep more and stress less. No stress more than the usual. I’m a high school teacher, mom, and caregiver for my post transplant husband. So, no stress at all right? I did track my calories a few days and they were low so I added some things in. The scale is OK. I have increased my exercise so that may play a role. I’m OK with just keeping on because I know the increased exercise is a benefit. I’m waiting another little bit and then I’ll examine again.

Get ready for the final weigh-in for Round 4! Once the round ends on Jan 17 at midnight PST, you have until 11:59PM PST on Jan 19 to submit your final weight for the round. Even if you're not a winner, please submit your weight and photos.

Once the weigh-in period begins, you will get a new weigh-in word when you visit the game. Submit early to make sure your photos are accepted, and don't eat that cupcake until you get an email that your photos are approved! (If you don't get one, check your spam folder.) You must have an approved weigh-in in order to be declared a winner for this round.

The round will finalize 24-36 hours after all weigh-ins have been submitted. Good luck!

OK! I might post this in the multi- dietbet games I am playing because I am so excited. Sorry if anyone has to read it more than once...Today I bought some denim jeans in size 16! Haven't done that since I think before 1985! So very excited and happy to be making progress! Continued best to everyone - keep on doing it!

yes - since May I've adhered to a strict keto diet and I also added Intermittent Fasting (starting with not snacking between meals and working up to a daily eating window in the afternoon 1:00-5:00). I think for someone whose body has been resistant to weight loss for years (as in insulin resistant), it's very worthwhile to look into Intermittent Fasting. Google Jason Fung and dietdoctor.com! Best to you!

Six days to lose a little less than a pound. Sounds easy for most of you, but my "old" body has been at a plateau for almost 3 weeks - not much difference in the scale. It's fighting to hang on to that weight! Now that I had an excellent 8-week post-op report I'm going to kick up my exercise level! Any other suggestions?

Long term planning, anyone?
Remember, you need to lose at least 6 percent by the end of round 5 to be allowed to move on to round 6.
Lose 10 percent to win round 5, then maintain that to win round 6 (or get to 10 percent in round 6).

  • Y’all. I missed the first two progression weigh-ins and was feeling soooo stalled and frustrated. But! I got back on my grind in late November and already got down to the end goal 10% and am continuing towards my next goal line! I’m so pumped I didn’t let the mid failures bring me down.

Hoping this comeback story can help someone else who wants to give up.

Yay! After reading your post I immediately checked to see what plan you are following. I just passed the 6wk mark on the Ketogenic diet. I was afraid of the scale after skipping 3 workout days but I lost a pound anyway! Yippee I am officially Keto adapted! One more to go for weigh-in. You have inspired me not to skip my exercise this AM

Nice job, @kaybee! I have to admit I’ve been prettttty lax on the “keto”ness of my diet, leaning more towards calorie counting at the moment because it allows for more flexibility in some ways (although admittedly far less in other), but am still keeping it low carb. But I do love keto. Keep-o it up!!
