How do you verify the weight loss?

For all official weigh-ins, you'll be prompted to submit your official starting weight. Our standard weigh-in process involves you submitting 2 photos: one of you standing on a scale in lightweight clothing (no shoes, hats, belts, watches, coats, or outerwear), and another of the scale’s readout with your weigh-in word written on a piece of paper.

I was close with a couple days to go. My church started a Lenten series and fasting one day per week was suggested. I fasted Monday before the weigh in. Even though weight loss is not the goal, I lost several pounds in 1 day. I met my goal by 1/2 pound. I’ll take it! All the winnings will go to the church. I would have lost without it.

Failed this time - but not for not trying :) Lost on other things than the scale (non-scale victories) and since I'm already on the next one I'm aiming to hit that goal in 2 weeks. Congrats for you who made it.

I did not make the 4% goal but I still feel like I cleared a giant hurdle. I’m exercising regularly and really paying attention to my food choices. I hadn’t been taking care of myself for a really long time and I’m determined to keep going like I have the last few weeks. My clothes are starting to get loose and I’m able to fit in some that didn’t fit before. It’s a wonderful feeling. I’ve joined and lost other DietBets before but this is the first that I really tried. I hit a plateau half way through so I’m expecting a weight decrease very soon. Im not discouraged and I won’t give up. I’ve joined the next one with same hosts because I think having the weekly challenges helps a lot to keep the motivation going. Thanks Kateka and Stu. Omg talk aboit cutting it close pushing water and grazing on nuts and fruit all day. To lose those last few oz amd i finally hit it. Been checking the scale all freaking day was worried i wouldnt get it.

Such amazing progress!


The before is from 2/8, the progress pic is from yesterday morning weigh in 3/20. I've been focusing on lifting weights and intermittent fasting. Still a long way to go but this is proof that "only 7lbs" can make a big difference!

I can’t believe I did it! I actually hit the goal weight! This with not being able to exercise at all due to a back injury. Physical therapy is the only activity I got at all. Since I knew I couldn’t exercise I really focused on my diet and I did it! I’m so excited!

Thank you! I loved this group & KatekaGood & Stu youre awesome! Thanks again for all your help! so happy this group was my first dietbet ! im sown 16lbs!! Don’t know where but I swear I am haha jk ! don’t lose hope! I was saying today how annoying it is that our weight is like a rollercoaster on the scale week by week day by day even freaking hour by hour! It’s insane! Than there’s 500 diet fads , and you’re eating too much, too little, wrong food, are you sleeping? Too much water ! Too little water! Like how do we deal and stay on trucking hoping and losing weight but we do!! So you all rock!!!!!! 🙏
