Spent Father's Day playing 3 hours of softball in off and on showers and it was FUN! Now I'm sore all over but that's ok. Most likely going to take a rest day tomorrow as I have 4 games in 3 days afterwards. Not a lot when I was younger but sort of excited to see how my body feels after the 3 days. The following week is going to be torture though as I have 8 games in 5 days.

Anyway, since adjusting my keto ratios and doing intermittent fasting, my weight is dropping again. Still not sure if I can catch up enough to make round 3 goal but round 4 is definitely within reach.

I’m moving in the right direction! I lost my way in round 2 for a few weeks, but I set myself some challenges and it’s making me stay focused. My rules are:

For 28 days stick to:

Intermittent fasting
Having at least 5 servings of fruit and veg a day
Having no more that 25 g of added sugar a day

The first week was easy, now it’s getting harder. Less than two weeks to go, though, and then I will add a sugar cheat day!

I feel better, my clothes are looser and the number of the scale is dropping. It’s worth the hard work and effort.

Same with me. I lost my way the last 2+ weeks and now playing catch-up. Intermittent fasting seems to be helping for me too. My challenge is to stay on course until my weekend trip to NYC at the end of July.

  • I did a 5K yesterday! It’s the first one I’ve done in 4 years. I didn’t run the entire thing, but I didn’t stop for the whole time. I didn’t see an increase in my time, but I did feel a major increase in my stamina. I felt my 2nd wind. It was very hard for me—but I’m so proud I did it! I’ll definitely do another and hope to increase to a 10K once I start improving my time and stamina more.

  • I am a walker. I only walk. I walk 5k in about 55minutes on average. This week i signed up for a race on a whim for my 37th birthday and decided “eh, I’ll try to run it!”

    My 5k was supposed to be today and it was cancelled due to flood waters. My best times before were around 55-58 minute 3.2mi walks.

    Since my race was cancelled, I downloaded some new songs to a playlist, laced up my shoes, and kicked my own ass for 3.2 miles.

    I did it.

    I didn’t die.

    I didn’t quit.

    I still walked more than I ran...

    But I ran. And I finished in just over my goal of 45 minutes.

    Tomorrow, I’ll do it again. Because I can do it.

Nice job! I can't run straight through. I have an app called interval timer and I do 3 minutes run : 2 minutes walk. I started with the opposite ratio.

I have been laid up. I think i pulled a muscle in my back but it hurts so much i honestly thought i might have a ruptured kidney or spleen. Back pains slow all exercise but i recalled back a bit when one of are members talked about how they got sick and adjusted intake to compensate. That to me was motivating. You all are motivating. If i can take the pain i will pull this off yet.
P.s. low money so no hospital. #American health =death by debt

  • Just started a new job this week and I’m sitting at a desk😖 all day. Thankful for my Fitbit. It notifies me at the end of every hour if I haven’t hit my goals. I stand and do jumping jacks or run in place to make it happen🙌????

  • Made the last weigh in but was up a few pounds a few days later. Mostly water weight, but I joined a mega-transformer to motivate myself to keep it up and help keep me on track for the next round of this bet too! Here's to another 10%. Kicking it off with a run in the rain.

Hey all! I'm back. Got off keto to switch to calorie counting and more carbs after my birthday and never could get back on track afterwards. I'm back on keto for 3 days now along with intermittent fasting (eating between 12pm-8pm) and I feel better again.

I noticed that I was aching more, craving more carbs and sweets, and never really feeling full even though I was eating the same amount of calories. I actually gained weight so decided to go back to keto even though my weight loss had slowed down a lot. This time though, I changed the macro ratios to allow a little more carbs and protein based on my lean body mass instead of the generic 70% fat, 25% protein, and 5% carbs.

Now I just need to get my exercise back on track and I'm good. Got some catching up to do though as I basically lost 2 weeks and round 2 due to the switch. Hopefully the changes I made this time will rev up the weight loss.

Is there a dietbet game with a goal of maintaining, rather than losing weight? I've seen Kickstarter and transformer games, but that's it.

I tend to do that when my weight loss is going great. I sort of panic and before you know it I am eating bad. Just refocus and start making good decisions again. I think self sabotage is part of our weight loss journey. You just have to learn to get back on track
