  • Today is my birthday. At first when I realized that my bday was a few days before weigh-in, I told myself I’d have to wait to celebrate a few days later. WHAT was I thinking?! I’m really proud of the progress I’ve made over the last 3.5 weeks and I’ve been eating so much better and making more health-conscious decisions. But today is my birthday and I’m going to let my boyfriend spoil me with donuts and a fancy sushi dinner tonight! This box of donuts is a symbol of progress. If nobody was watching, I could literally eat ALL of these donuts, one after another, until I feel sick. Instead I’ve enjoyed a little piece from 3 different donuts and it’s the slowest I’ve ever eaten a sweet treat. This DietBet isn’t about a quick fix or rapid weight loss. It truly helped me to shift my mindset and get back on track, in a sustainable way. I’m not going to deprive myself of special treats on my special day!
