Hi everyone! This is my first time completing a challenge through DietBet, and I'm so excited!

As a teen, I was very active as a 4 sport athlete, but began gaining weight for unexplained reasons. I saw my doctor and was diagnosed with PCOS and hypothyroid, both which make it a bit more challenging to lose weight.

I used my diagnoses as a crutch for far too long. I'd do well for a little, hit a plateau, and blame it on my conditions. I've tried all the diets, all the exercises, and all the programs to no avail. My weight has gone up and down (within about a 50lb range) for the last 10 years.

COVID has definitely made things more challenging. I went from getting 15,000 steps per day at work to sitting in front of a computer all day. I am back up to my highest weight, and it's time for a change!

I stumbled upon Brittany, her story, her books, and her philosophies not too long ago. I'm working on changing my mindset and getting HAPPY and HEALTHY. I can't say enough about how inspirational she is!

The time is now. I recently got married, and my husband and I would like to start a family. Due to PCOS, losing weight, being active, and being healthy is so crucial. I'm determined to use this challenge to get me started on this amazing journey! Good luck to everyone!

I also have PCOS, (and was a 4 sport teen athlete & D1 college athlete) but gained a TON of weight as soon as sports were over. I did an entire lifestyle change about a year ago where I eliminated gluten, soy, dairy, artificial sugars and alcohol and it has changed my life. I’ve lost over 100lbs and have totally gotten rid of my PCOS symptoms! I get regular periods and everything now. I know PCOS can be discouraging but I’m sharing this with you so that you can have hope! Hang in there and good luck!
