  • I need help! One thing I’ve always been terrible at is getting getting the recommended calories for weight 😭 how do you manage to get all those calories in! I feel so full after my meals and I only have time for lunch and dinner and a protein shake in the morning! And I feel like that’s one of the reasons I’m not losing weight.

As a female you should consume 50g of fat a day to preserve brain function. A few days where you are low is fine. But consistently having fat that low is not good.

You may not be doing a Keto diet, but your macros are close. I would skip the protein shake in the morning and focus on eggs with avocado. The fat/protein from the egg will help with your calories, as will the avocado. When eating veggies with chicken for lunch, consider roasting the veggies in coconut oil for some healthy fats. I'm not saying blow your fat consumption out of the water, but increase it at least a bit to get you to the 50g mark.

I'm keto and I follow the high protein, moderate fat and low carb approach. In order to hit my macros (120g protein, no more than 74g fat, less than 20g net carbs), I plan my day out ahead of time. I tweak ingredients to make sure I am consuming my allotted 1145 calories a day. Try planning out tomorrow's meals in your app. When you are too low in calories, add more avocado, or an egg, or another healthy fat. I understand that you are not keto, but you still need 50g of fat a day.

Also, are you weighing out your food? Or eyeballing measurement?

That reminded me I forgot to track my olive oil and avocado oil I used! Thanks! And I also had a few pistachios so after tracking everything I was in the normal range. And it’s Atkins diet so in a couple weeks my carb intake with rise.
