For all official weigh-ins, you'll be prompted to submit your official starting weight. Our standard weigh-in process involves you submitting 2 photos: one of you standing on a scale in lightweight clothing (no shoes, hats, belts, watches, coats, or outerwear), and another of the scale’s readout with your weigh-in word written on a piece of paper.

  • So…it’s been a minute. I haven’t posted in a LONG while. More significantly I have not weighed in, have not kept track of things, have pretty much fallen off of and out of any routine and momentum I was so proud to have started with 2021. We had some loss to contend with, some life and other changes…but still…

    I’ve had some wins, though, too: I ran a second 5k in August. I climbed/hiked ‘The Incline’ in September—a climb/hike of 2,000 feet of elevation in less than a mile. So, I was pressing forward in activity, and literally sprinting backward in other areas. I took my eye off water intake, off food planning…off accountability. The sofa became my favourite hangout.

    And so now I’m here, in the group that brought me so far from the start of the year. I’m posting this morning in both DB games I’m currently in (and losing, at the moment) to raise my hand and say the next mountain starts now for me. One step forward and up at a time. Don’t know if I can get to the top of the summit this time, but I sure am going to try. There’s time left, and I’m going to start weighing in, start watching my nutrition choices…guess I’m just going to START. You all are an inspiration to me, and the positivity I feel when I check in is a good reminder on why it’s important that I come back each week. Good luck to all these next few months—I’ll be seeing you!

What an awesome feat, to climb the incline!!
You’ve definitely got it in you, I can tell by the passion in your post.
Keep up that awesome physical momentum and combine it with your motivation to eat well, you’ll totally succeed!!

I remind myself regularly that I bet on myself to win. That I can always chose to eat whatever I want, but thinking about my choices as the potential reason for losing my bet helps… because I want to win my money back! Lol, otherwise I would have donated it directly to a cause that resonates with me. Work hard for your money! That’s why you bet on yourself. You know you have it in you to win!

I’ve been unintentionally carb cycling. (Eating way too many carbs one day and practically eliminating them the next day). It seems to be working well for me; at least, I’m still losing weight consistently,

TMI alert: I'm now up 5 pounds since Wed and I'm wondering if the reason I gain weight after weigh-ins is because I tend to eat a couple of treats AND get my cycle. The dates float a few days per month, but after successfully maintaining my weight within a half pound after weigh-in, I'm now up and feeling behind for the next goal. Gah!

Today was one of those "One step forward... two steps back" type of days in regards to nutrition. At least I got 23 miles of biking in thr morning.

  • The days are going faster than my weight loss, HOWEVER I’ve chosen to be proud of myself and the healthy choices I’ve made to be the best version of me. If I make it on the scale, SUPER. If I don’t but continue making the best healthy choices and continue working out as I have, SUPER. That’s an expensive lesson I’ve learned but I’ll take it as personal training/therapy for my brain.
    Keep it up everyone!!
    Side note, look at the cute Christmas Mickey items I found at our Home Goods in Ky!!
