For all official weigh-ins, you'll be prompted to submit your official starting weight. Our standard weigh-in process involves you submitting 2 photos: one of you standing on a scale in lightweight clothing (no shoes, hats, belts, watches, coats, or outerwear), and another of the scale’s readout with your weigh-in word written on a piece of paper.

  • A lot can change in a year, good, bad, trivial. My life has had a lot of hurt this year but a lot of great things have happened too, new baby, and a renewed hope for health and a path I am working hard on!   • I might have posted before but I went way off the rails in December. I let family drama surrounding the holidays get the better of me and I ate and drank All.The. Things. I've been doing better since the footrest of the year, but got a cold and upon recovery from that, took a HUGE tumble down the stairs which did my back no favors. So my eating has been on point, but I've gotten next to no exercise. I'm happy to have lost over 5 of the 12 or 13 lbs I gained in month 2. Realistically, I know I'll miss the mark on month 3, but I truly believe I can catch up and still be in this going forward. I'm easing back into daily exercise, eating well, and drinking plenty of water. I've got this!

  • Run from this morning was rough. I have been sore most of the week but my calves are on fire! I know when my body needs extra recovery when my body holds onto water! Let recover & get stronger! Easy runs the next few days! I am also signed up to fight in a tournament next weekend, I feel unprepared but let’s do it anyway!

I know this is a challenge based on the scale but those NSVs are so much more important and a bigger indicator of progress than a number on the scale. Keep up the amazing habits you’ve put into place and be proud of yourself!

I thought cutting out wine, adding more cardio and shortening my eating window would just melt the pounds away but I haven’t budged in January at all. (My profile pic is 10yrs old and is now my goal size)
Has anyone tried Keto yet? I’m on day 3 (not even sure if I’m doing it right) Looking for reputable websites seems to be a challenge. Happy to hear some tips and suggestions. :-)

I started keto and now strive for 20% net carbs, which doesn’t come close to qualifying as keto. Anyway, you can find some good talks on YouTube by searching for Dr. Westerman (Duke physician) or Jason Fung (mostly intermittent fasting, which is much easier to do when eating low carb). I like « AllDay I Dream About Food » for recipes and « Two Fit Docs » on YouTube for a nutritionists’ take on low carb. Good luck and enjoy!!!

Just make sure you are in a calorie deficit within your eating window. It is wise to only choose keto if you feel it is sustainable for the long haul.

Today was a good day! I got a workout done and went for a walk, ate healthy, & drank a lot of water and tea. I'm tired, but also excited to see the scale in the morning. I'm super thankful that my cravings from last week are gone-it makes life way easier!
