How do you verify the weight loss?

For all official weigh-ins, you'll be prompted to submit your official starting weight. Our standard weigh-in process involves you submitting 2 photos: one of you standing on a scale in lightweight clothing (no shoes, hats, belts, watches, coats, or outerwear), and another of the scale’s readout with your weigh-in word written on a piece of paper.

What you'll need

  • A scale (preferably digital)
  • A digital camera or smartphone
  • A full-length mirror or someone to take your photo

  • *Name: Emily Zarek
*I am currently located in: Philadelphia suburbs
*Here is a little info about me: I have two kids - 6 and 3 - working on shaving off the rest of the weight I gained with my youngest, and I'm almost there! I like to bake, and have a small side gig selling birthday cakes, specializing in allergy-friendly cakes. I recently took up pottery which has been a nice pandemic de-stressing activity.
*My weight loss plan this month is to: Keep working out most days - mostly doing gentle workouts like the recumbent bike or body weight exercises. Don't overindulge in snacks and keep dinner portions reasonable.
*One of my triggers is: Exhaustion - not sleeping well makes me want to fuel my body to giving it excess calories. I'm not the best about getting enough rest and often stay up too late just to have alone time.
*I plan to tackle this trigger by: I'm trying to listen to my body better and go to bed at a reasonable time.
*A motivational quote I love is: Don't let perfect be the enemy of good.
*Fun fact about me: Although people associate me with baking cakes, cake is actually not even close to my favorite baked good. I like the creativity challenge, not so much the food itself!
*All I want for Christmas is: A week to do absolutely nothing. And then a week to do everything.

EDIT because I forgot a picture! Me and my gremlins.

Oooooh. I like your Christmas wish - I want to change mine to what yours is. :joy: Also, amen to the exhaustion (every single night, when it’s way past my bedtime I say, “Okay now, FOR REAL, TOMORROW is the day I’m going to be early!!” and it never happens). Also - great quote! So many good things to take from you introducing yourself - thanks for posting!
