  • Happy Friday, friends!

The weekend is upon us, which can often be difficult because we often get out of our Monday - Friday rhythm. It's okay to indulge here and there. As my grandpa always used to say, "Everything in moderation!"

We deserve to treat ourselves sometimes. We are human, after all :)

In the past, when I would give in and "fail" my diet, I'd lose all hope and just eat anything and everything. But that was the wrong attitude! It's okay to have that little treat here and there and still stay on track!

What are your plans for the weekend? Does anyone have any special recipes they're making or ways to make weekend exercising more fun? Please feel free to share your plans and any tips you may have! We're all in this together, and your comment just might help someone else feel successful this weekend! :)

Oooo this is legit.

I’m taking one of my kids to a local small zoo/sanctuary tomorrow for some alone time and special reward. I’ll be mindful that a “special time” doesn’t require a sugar binge, and that I do not *have to* eat all my kindergartner’s leftovers! Those are common traps for me, but mindfulness helps, recognizing that I am not a garbage disposal, and that the high points of spending time with my daughter are beyond food. :hearts:

I’m looking to try a new way of being active this weekend, and constantly reminding myself that If I eat healthy (no sugar binge) that it makes my body feel so much better and my workouts are so much stronger! I haven’t reached any of my goals since this time last year so I’m trying to really find my determination.

We got this ladies, let’s crush our goals!
