How do you verify the weight loss?

For all official weigh-ins, you'll be prompted to submit your official starting weight. Our standard weigh-in process involves you submitting 2 photos: one of you standing on a scale in lightweight clothing (no shoes, hats, belts, watches, coats, or outerwear), and another of the scale’s readout with your weigh-in word written on a piece of paper.

What you'll need

  • A scale (preferably digital)
  • A digital camera or smartphone
  • A full-length mirror or someone to take your photo

In college I used to row. In the spring/summer the races were 2K. My coachs broke it down to 3 sections

The first 500M everyone was fresh, amped up, and ready to go.

The last 500M energy is high for so many reasons.

The middle 1K. This is what we trained for. It is the hardest because there isn't the same energy as the start or the finish, you just need to endure. You don't get sloppy you focus every stroke the oar goes in and out clean, you find the rhythm and you pull over and over until you hit that last 500M rush. That's where we are in this game. The middle, the grind, it's staying focused and constant that will carry us to that final sprint.

Hi Tammy! My novice year we were racing against a headwind so strong there were whitecaps on the water. After our race, I remember watching a novice women's eight at a standstill rowing against the current. I think the cancelled the rest of the races for that day

Great analogy, thank you!
