How do you verify the weight loss?

For all official weigh-ins, you'll be prompted to submit your official starting weight. Our standard weigh-in process involves you submitting 2 photos: one of you standing on a scale in lightweight clothing (no shoes, hats, belts, watches, coats, or outerwear), and another of the scale’s readout with your weigh-in word written on a piece of paper.

What you'll need

  • A scale (preferably digital)
  • A digital camera or smartphone
  • A full-length mirror or someone to take your photo

  • Down 65 pounds, done 5 DietBets since last May. I was at my highest weight ever the picture on the left taken one year ago. Picture on the right was today, 65 pounds lighter, down 12 pounds for the month and exceeded my DietBet goal. This journey has not been easy, I’ve hit plateaus three times, felt just like giving up. I got so discouraged but my dietician encouraged me to take a maintenance break. So for the month of January I maintained my weight, didn’t lose or gain. Then I started February strong and ready to work hard. If I could give anyone advice who is just burnt out, take a maintenance break and start strong again the following month. It really helped me!

What did a maintenance break look like for you? I’ve hit a plateau.
