  • My 31st birthday is the last weekend in May and I’m trying to see how much progress I can make toward my final goal weight before then. Not in an unhealthy way, but in an “actually paying attention to what I’m eating” way. It’s tough to track food if I eat at work since the staff cafe is buffet style and I kind of have to use the knowledge I’ve accumulated from years of tracking, but yesterday I decided to log my lunch on BBQ day. Some of it was guesses (there’s no way we have Stouffers, but it’s almost certainly premade frozen and I scooped up about one serving) and some of it wasn’t available in MFP so I used a comparable product (the vegan chicken patties we get are only available for restaurant supply so I subbed a different Gardein product). I also don’t think I actually used 3 Tbs of mayo, but I’m team “when in doubt, over track.” I did not expect that calorie count when I made my plate, but I still managed to stay within my eating goal for the day!

  • I had Mediterranean buffet yesterday too! Realized I totally went over my calories though 😭 and I saw it on the scale today (gained a whole pound) felt pretty depressed but I’m determined to get back up!
