  • This was yesterday (but only just getting around to posting); I don’t track food anymore (not even photos like this usually now) because of such an unhealthy relationship with tracking and counting calories in the past - so yesterday I got around to breakfast about noon with overnight oats made with Greek yogurt rather than milk (nicer texture for me n higher protein), a tablespoon of mixed seeds, and a handful of frozen fruit that defrosted overnight in the mix…next feeding time was around 6pm - lunch/snack of gluten free bread spread with real butter and marmite before I went to the supermarket for cleaning supplies…dinner I didn’t get round to sitting down and eating till 11pm (I got back from the shop at 8pm and have no idea what happened to those three hours!) and toffee full fat yogurt (which is under 4% fat so technically a low fat food…) with dipping banana >.< then I felt like some gaming snacks and something sweet around midnight so chose a portion bag of jelly beans, some fruit, and another yogurt.

Giving myself permission to eat fun foods that are typically not “allowed” on a diet helps me regulate to a smaller (probably more typical) portion and stops the binge/starve cycle.

I also think about my diet in terms of what I want it to look like when I’ve finished losing weight and replicating that in now - and I want sweet treats and yogurts and ice creams (which is the other advantage for me of taking yogurt to the sofa for pudding is that I am then happy with a “lower tier” sweet treat than if I get back up to hunt one down >.< )

Peace out lovelies! Enjoy Friday and here’s hoping for hiking weather this weekend!

Nice tracking. Yes, I am also working on trying to see myself where I want to be, sometimes I even succeed,

@Mary B I think it helps me that I’ve formed a “body neutrality” view of my form in the last couple years… but I’m having some minor health issues (stage 1 non alcoholic fatty liver disease for starters…) that my GP has advised I lose weight to see if that clears it up… and I’m hoping a more nutritious diet will help the liver cuz the other option is my happy pills :scream: and it took 16 years to find ones I could tolerate side effects of and are beneficial! So I’m praying that feeding my body according to physical requirements will help xx and that’s also why I’ve got to get it down to how I want to eat for life!
