How do you verify the weight loss?

For all official weigh-ins, you'll be prompted to submit your official starting weight. Our standard weigh-in process involves you submitting 2 photos: one of you standing on a scale in lightweight clothing (no shoes, hats, belts, watches, coats, or outerwear), and another of the scale’s readout with your weigh-in word written on a piece of paper.

What you'll need

  • A scale (preferably digital)
  • A digital camera or smartphone
  • A full-length mirror or someone to take your photo

I am going to be honest here...I really DIDN'T want to walk tonight.
I was worried my legs or back would hurt, since it had been 3 days without exercising...and my daughter loves this VERY HARD uphill walk (23 minutes out of 60 are straight uphill).

But then I thought of what I'm going to write HERE in these 4 challenges (2 Transformers & 2 Kickstarters). And also HOW I would feel if I didn't walk...like how would Tuesday be any better...it would be even worse! So, I got ready to walk.
Just changing into my exercise clothes helped me to get more mentally ready.

Then, I called my daughter and asked her IF we could do a different, easier route today. She agreed. And we were "golden".

The walk was EXCELLENT...and we now have a nice alternative route, for when occasionally I prefer or need it.

Not getting OFF TRACK was hard...but it feels GREAT....now!

Steve, I needed this tonight. For real. ??
Posts like MB, Sarah S., and yours were the fuel I needed to mentally recover from my weight journey setbacks and keep trucking on.

That part where you didn't want to go? I know that feeling way too well. That inner battle is brutal. Your post made it feel less lonely. ??

Changing clothes sounds like such a small thing, but I felt a palpable mindset shift when you said it. From now on, my daily uniform will be workout clothes unless I have an in-person appointment.

It is easier to sneak in a quick workout or step session if I don't have to worry about my jeans or changing into something more comfortable. It's like your body shows up first, and then the rest follows.

And the fact that you didn't push through something painful to prove a point? That's smart, growth, and a great way of advocating for yourself and protecting your wellness journey.

You adjusted and moved to find a more suitable path. ???️

I'm walking tomorrow, no excuses.

Thanks for lighting my wellness fire. ??

Steve

AWESOME...thanks for the feedback, Brew!
