How do you verify the weight loss?

For all official weigh-ins, you'll be prompted to submit your official starting weight. Our standard weigh-in process involves you submitting 2 photos: one of you standing on a scale in lightweight clothing (no shoes, hats, belts, watches, coats, or outerwear), and another of the scale’s readout with your weigh-in word written on a piece of paper.

What you'll need

  • A scale (preferably digital)
  • A digital camera or smartphone
  • A full-length mirror or someone to take your photo

Does this actually work?

Out of 1,039,224 DietBetters, 94.52% have lost weight during their challenges. Combined, they've lost 20,328,079 lbs and won $101,121,996. In other words...yes.

All results shown on DietBet are from actual users. Individual results may vary.

Don't take our word for it

Ok, players. Let’s do this. Yeah, I know veteran Diet Bet players (like me) don’t post much. Or maybe even new players. But I need to post to stay engaged and remind myself that I actually have a goal and am working towards it!

Does anyone share on FB? I’m not in FB anymore, so that out for me. Unless there’s a group for this game? Good luck everybody. And discipline and whatever works for you I’m gonna try to do something other than eat when I feel like scarfing down some junk like maybe reach for some poetry to escape to or do some filing on my desk at home onwards

Best of luck!! I know it’s hard to post comments but I agree it helps.
I’ll try to do the same.

Re: sharing in FB: I’m probably confused I think some people sign in using a FB profile vs I sign in using email? I imagined that those who sign in via FB had some insider group or something? Anybody know?
